USF PUBLIX
The University of South Florida's desire to develop an all-inclusive campus environment incorporating student education, housing, entertainment, shopping and dining needs within biking distance from their residences was at the forefront of the design for this first of its kind college campus prototype.

With the key goals of transforming the University of South Florida into a "vibrant living-learning environment," the USF Publix uses space effectively and creatively to enhance the overall campus. The USF Publix creates a better community for the USF campus by creating a place where students and faculty can "live, work, play, shop, and eat." Credit to USF for an innovative concept that not only creates a better community in Hillsborough County, but is a prototype framework that can be used on any college campus throughout the county.

With focuses on pedestrian friendly routes to campus locations, bus routes from other areas of campus, location to medical facilities, a large selection of items tailored to the student's needs, including "prepared meals, grab-and-go" options, classroom supplies, University apparel, a coffee shop, indoor and outdoor dining areas, bike racks for patrons, and local employment opportunities for students the design provides options for public engagement and benefits to the quality of life for all in the community.
