In order to complement the architectural style of the project’s existing surroundings; the proposed 7 story parking structure was designed to a “Coastal Contemporary” design vocabulary. Following Urban Planning Best Practices the garage has been placed behind the existing two-story Pelican Walk Retail Center which serves as a buffer between the pedestrian-way along the project’s primary facade, reducing the perceived scale of the project.

To meet the requirements of the City of Clearwater’s stringent “Beach-By-Design” guidelines, three primary “artistic feature panels” serve as a base for colorful “wave art” features during the day and the screen for up-lit LED lighting at night. In addition, accent features were inlayed into the precast concrete panels, colorful multi-story sloped fabric awnings and solid cantilevered canopies were added above the ground level retail and restaurant’s storefront glazing along the sidewalk bistro area. This 14 million dollar project was completed Spring of 2017.
