USAMERIBANK WESTSHORE INTERIORS
This USAmeriBank branch sits prominently in the middle of West Shore Boulevard in Tampa, FL. Throughout its history the structure has had many lives: banking, corporate office, jewelry store, and now full circle back to banking and corporate lending offices. By innovatively converting the original building’s front overhang into crucial office space the building gained a grander lobby and conference room areas.
A large material palette of two glass types, teak wood siding, metal panels, deep window louvers, various paint colors were used to break down the original repetitive structural massing within the tight site constraints in a way that elongates the façade into a modern aesthetic and contextually embraces the modernity of the West Shore Boulevard context.
In order to capitalize on the heavily trafficked site the north conference room is designed as a “glass jewel box” that emanates light at night.
The interior of the project is adorned with hammered and riveted metal furniture, custom mosaic tile, glass interior walls, a modern color palette, and custom metal artwork that is mounted on the walls and inlaid into the tile floor.
